Digital conversion of library materials has advanced rapidly
in the past few years. It promises to continue to expand its
reach and improve its capabilities with extraordinary speed.
Today, the Internet is one of the first places a person who
has access to a computer will go to get information. The Internet
'IS' information. Whether it's information on Caselaw, Acts
or Court rules, the Internet is THE place lawyers and indeed
judges, now look to for information.
The Judiciary of Akwa Ibom State has therefore embarked on
the "library without walls" project. The early results
of that effort is what you see today.
This area of the E-library is meant to provide a compendium
of legal resources that will help the Bench, Bar and indeed
teachers/students alike. Useful data will be added on a weekly
basis covering a vast array of issues and topics.
